Installing Rear Gas Spring At The Body

NOTE: Replacing a single rear gas spring
  • Rear lid can become very distorted

→ Always replace both rear gas springs at the same time.

  1. A second person must hold the rear lid to prevent it from closing accidentally.

  2. Press the rear gas spring -2-  onto the ball head -Arrow A-  until the rear gas spring -2-  locks with an audible click.
  3. Check that the safety clip -3-  has engaged correctly. Repeat the procedure if necessary.
  4. Fit connector for rear window -1-  onto the rear gas spring -2-  (-Arrow B-  ).
  5. Check that the rear gas springs are working correctly. → Checking Rear Gas Spring
