Adjusting Rear Power Windows Mechanism

Information 

By moving the power windows mechanism with respect to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, the power windows can be adjusted by dimension Y = ± 10 mm  . The contact pressure of the upper edge of the side window on the convertible top is adjusted by screwing the adjusting element in or out by dimension X = ± 10 mm  . The contact pressure on the rear window inner seal or the offset from the door window is adjusted by screwing both of the upper adjusting elements in or out by dimension X = ± 5 mm  .

1. Adjust power windows mechanism.

   1. 1.1. Adjust the basic setting of the adjusting elements -1-  from the upper edge of the rear side section to the side window. → Gap dimension C: 11 mm → Gap dimension D: 14 mm 
   2. 1.2. Push the power windows mechanism backwards or forwards to adjust the gap between the side window and door window. → Gap dimension E: 9 mm+/-1 mm 
   3. 1.3. Adjust the contour or offset with respect to the door window on the adjusting element -2-  .
   4. 1.4. Tighten adjusting elements for power windows -1-  and -2-  . → Tightening torque: 17 Nm (13 ftlb.) 
2. Insert rubber sleeve -1-  of wire harness for power windows -2-  (-arrow-  ).

3. Install rear window inner seal

   1. 3.1. Insert rear window inner seal -2-  into the slot in the rear side section from above -arrow A-  and position it on the convertible top support or belt guide section.
   2. 3.2. Insert and tighten front and rear fastening screws -1-  (-arrows B-  ). → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
