  1. Remove front closing panel. → Removing Front Closing Panel

    Information

If you are sure there has been no deformation of the wheel housing and floor front section structure, the cuts can be made during the following repairs without removing the wheel housing and floor front section.

  2. Remove front wheel housing (section). → Removing Front Wheel Housing (Section)
  3. Remove floor front section. → Removing Floor Front Section

    Information

Possible separation points on inner front side member.

    • Cuts can only be made on the inner front side member at dimension -X= 30 mm-  , in the marked areas -A-  and -B-  in front of the tailored blank (laser weld) -1, 2-  against the direction of travel.

      Information

Ensure that the outer side member is offset by dimension X = min. 50 mm  with respect to the inner side member.

  7. Determining the cut
    1. 7.1. Mark cut on the outer front side member depending on the damage at dimension -X = min. 50 mm-  in front of the inner tailored blank (laser weld) against or in the direction of travel.
