Preliminary Work

  1. Remove engine guard. → Removing engine guard
  2. Drain engine oil. For details, see → 170117 CHANGING ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER ON DFI ENGINES .
  3. Remove front wire assembly from the oil pan for PDCC.

  4. Remove front-axle carrier. Pay attention to the PDCC cable connections when doing so. 40061900 Removing and installing front-axle carrier. WM 400619 Removing and installing front-axle carrier Engine carrier remains fitted on the longitudinal members.
