Installing pivot-pin locks

NOTE:
  • Insert the pivot-pin locks -B- when the convertible top is open and the side panel lining has been removed. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING SIDE-PANEL LINING . Removing and installing side panel lining. The fitting bolt -C- can only be screwed in when the convertible top is closed. See Fig 1 .
  • The requirement for fitting the pivot-pin lock is that the installation (bracket -A-) for hardtop is installed. See REMOVING AND INSTALLING HARDTOP FASTENINGS  . See Fig 1 .
  1. The pivot-pin lock -B-  is inserted into bracket -A-  and screwed tightly with the fastening screws -1-  . Bear in mind here that there is a left-hand and right-hand pivot-pin lock. (Observe the inscription L or R on the pivot-pin lock). See Fig 1 .
  2. The locking tab of the bracket must correspond to the recess of the pivot-pin lock. By tightening, see TIGHTENING TORQUES  , the fitting lock -C-, the pivot-pin lock -B- is clamped in the bracket -A-. See Fig 1 .
  3. Press plastic cover -D- into the pivot-pin locks. See Fig 1 .
