Tiptronic vehicles: Removal

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2004 Porsche Boxster, 2003 Porsche Boxster, 2002 Porsche Boxster, 2001 Porsche Boxster, and 2000 Porsche Boxster. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Lift the vehicle.
  2. Remove cable from engine.
  3. Undo front sheetmetal brace (A) (2 screws on rear axle cross member). Pull down sheetmetal brace by about 30 mm (direction arrow). If there are already two rubber spoilers on the sheetmetal brace (as of Mod. '98), remove these spoilers (area X).
  4. Undo cable on rear axle cross member at one side.
  5. Undo cable (C) at other side and use an open-ended wrench to turn the hexagon of the cable.
