Test 9: Side Air Bag Sensor

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disconnect side air bag connector. Turn ignition on. Voltage should be 5 volts at driver"s side air bag harness connector terminal No. 3 (White wire) and ground, and passenger"s side air bag harness connector terminal No. 3 (Green wire) and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as required.
  2. Turn ignition on. Voltage should be 12 volts at driver"s side and passenger"s side air bag harness connector terminal No. 2 (Orange wire) and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as required.
