CAN message missing from instrument cluster 1: Diagnosis/troubleshooting

NOTE: Before troubleshooting, read out the fault memory of the instrument cluster and eliminate any faults present.

DIAGNOSIS TROUBLESHOOTING - FAULT CODE 5555, AS OF MY 2002

2	Check CAN drive between ABS control unit and instrument cluster for open circuit	Ignition off Disconnect plug from DME control module D and instrument cluster A Measure resistance between ABS control unit plug pin 24 and instrument cluster plug A pin 15 (CAN drive high) Measure resistance between ABS control unit plug pin 40 and instrument cluster plug A pin 31 (CAN drive low)	< 5 Step 3	Repair open circuit in CAN wiring harness -> End
3	Replace instrument cluster		-> End
