DIAGNOSIS/TROUBLESHOOTING FOR FAULT CODE 6

Work instruction			Display OK	If not OK
1	Visual inspection	Check whether the plug connections of the Targa sliding roof micro switch or of the control module are connected correctly and are locked	Step 2	Connect and lock plug connections -> End
2	Check the wire from the control module to the Targa sliding roof micro switch for open circuit	Switch off ignition Pull off plug at the Targa sliding roof micro switch Pull plug A off the control module Measure resistance between plug A on control module pin 24 and plug on the Targa sliding roof micro switch pin 1 Measure resistance between plug A on control module pin 25 and plug on the Targa sliding roof micro switch pin 1	< 5 Step 3	Repair wiring harness -> End
3	Check the lead from the Targa sliding roof micro switch to the control module for open circuit	Measure resistance between plug A on control module pin 6 and plug on the Targa sliding roof micro switch pin 2	< 5 Step 4	Repair wiring harness -> End
4	Check the lead from the Targa sliding roof micro switch to the control module for short circuit to ground	Measure resistance between plug A on control module pin 6 and ground	Step 6	Step 5
5	Check the lead from the Targa sliding roof micro switch to the control module for short circuit to ground	Disconnect both plugs on the alarm system control module Measure resistance between plug A on control module pin 6 and ground	Step 7	Repair wiring harness -> End
6	Replace micro switch for Targa sliding roof		-> End
7	Check or replace alarm system control module		-> End
