DIAGNOSIS/TROUBLESHOOTING FOR FAULT CODE 12

Work instruction			Display OK	If not OK
1	Visual inspection	Check whether the plug connections of the Targa rear window closing aid or of the control module are connected and are locked Check whether the closing aid is properly installed and that no mechanical faults are present	Step 2	Connect and lock plug connections -> End
2	Check the leads between the control module and the Targa rear window closing aid for short circuit to ground	Pull plug D off the control module Pull plug off the closing aid Measure resistance between plug D on control module pin 4 and ground Measure resistance between plug D on control module pin 5 and ground	Step 3	Repair wiring harness -> End
3	Check the leads between the control module and the Targa rear window closing aid for open circuit	Measure resistance between plug D on control module pin 4 and the plug on the closing aid pin 1 Measure resistance between plug D on control module pin 5 and the plug on the closing aid pin 2	< 5 Step 4	Repair wiring harness -> End
4	Replace closing aid for Targa rear window		-> End
