Control unit function: Coding

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE: This function is only present starting with software version V 18.0 in the Porsche System Tester II 9588!
  1. Using the Porsche System Tester II 9588, select the menu item Coding.
  2. The Tester displays the current coding as follows:
    TESTER DISPLAY CURRENT CODING (MODEL YEAR)

    Model year up to 2002 or as of 2003
  3. The display can be saved using the "F4" key.
  4. Using the "up" and "down" keys, select the coding option model year and continue with the key "F8".
  5. Using the "up" and "down" keys, select the model year of the vehicle up to 2002 or as of 2003.
  6. Code the input by pressing the "F8" key and wait until the display Coding modified appears.
  7. The display can be saved using the "F4" key.
  8. End the procedure with the "BACKWORD" key.
