Conditions for Clearing the MIL/DTC

The DTC will clear when conditions for setting the DTC have been repaired.

1 Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle? - Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the engine.
  3. Select the A/T Oil Temperature 1 parameter on the scan tool.
Does the ATF temperature display between -40°C (-40°F) or above 150°C (302°F)?		 - Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections Go to Step 3 
3 Check the transmission fluid level.
Is fluid level within range?		 - Go to Step 5  Go to Step 4 
4 Add transmission fluid.
Have you completed action?		 - Go to Step 6  -
5 Replace ATF sensor.
Did you complete the replacement?		 - Go to Step 6  -

  1. Use the scan tool in order to clear the DTC.
  2. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC, as specified in the supporting text.
Does the DTC reset?		 - Go to Step 2  System OK
