Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the brake rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement (J55) , Front Brake Rotor Replacement (JL9) .
    4. Fig 1: Ball Joint Remover & Wheel Stud

  4. Remove the wheel stud at the inner most notch in the knuckle on the caliper side of the steering knuckle.
  5. Using the J 35917  press out the wheel stud.
