Preliminary Procedures Recover the refrigerant from the air conditioning (A/C) system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging . Remove the right engine mount strut. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side . Remove the injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement . Remove the upper tie bar. Refer to Front End Upper Tie Bar Replacement . Ensure to cap all HVAC line connections immediately after removal to avoid contamination.
1	A/C Evaporator Hose Retaining Nut CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 16 N.m (12 lb ft)
2	Sealing Washer TIP: Remove and discard the sealing washer. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement .
3	A/C Evaporator Hose Retaining Bolt Tighten 6 N.m (53 lb in)
4	A/C Evaporator Hose Retaining Nut Tighten 16 N.m (12 lb ft)
5	Sealing Washer TIP: Remove and discard the sealing washer. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement .
6	A/C Evaporator Hose Retaining Nut Tighten 16 N.m (12 lb ft)
7	Sealing Washer TIP: Remove and discard the sealing washer. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement .
8	A/C Evaporator Hose Assembly TIP: Leak test the fittings using J 39400-A . Special Tools J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector
