Installation Procedure

  1. Assemble J 8092  onto J 44766  . See Special Tools .
  2. Install the torque converter seal onto the tool before installing into the case to prevent damage to the seal.
    3. NOTE: Align the torque converter seal with the bolt holes.
  3. Install the torque converter seal into the torque converter housing.
    4. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Install the NEW torque converter seal retaining bolts and tighten to 3.6 N.m (32 lb. in).
  5. Install the transmission torque converter. Refer to Torque Converter Replacement .
