Removal Procedure
- Remove the transmission fluid pan and filter. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid and Filter Replacement .

- Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the output speed sensor (2).

- Remove the output speed sensor retaining bolt (3).
- Remove the output speed sensor (2).
- Remove the output speed sensor spacer (1).
- Inspect the output speed sensor (2) for the following conditions:
- Damaged or missing magnet
- Damaged housing
- Bent or missing electrical terminals
