Rear Bumper Impact Bar Replacement


Removal Procedure





1.Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .

2.Remove the rear bumper fascia energy absorber. Refer to Rear Energy Absorber Replacement Rear Energy Absorber Replacement .

3.Remove the following components from the vehicle:

-The 4 nuts (2)

-The rear bumper impact bar (1)

-The 4 push-in retainers (3) and the 2 rear bumper stays (4) from the impact bar (1), if necessary

Installation Procedure





Notice:Refer to Fastener Notice .

1.Install the 2 rear bumper stays (4) and the push-in retainers (3) to the impact bar (1), if removed.

Install the rear bumper impact bar (1) to the vehicle. Secure the impact bar with 4 nuts (2).

TightenTighten the rear bumper impact bar nuts to 36 N �m (26 lb ft).

2.Install the rear bumper fascia energy absorber. Refer to Rear Energy Absorber Replacement Rear Energy Absorber Replacement .

3.Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
