Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
    IMPORTANT: Place the transaxle in neutral (N).
  1. Remove the transmission wiring harness. Refer to Automatic Transmission Wiring Harness Replacement .

  2. Remove the 2 control valve body bolts/screws (31), control valve body fluid passage cover (37) and gasket (38).

  3. Remove the 6 control valve body mounting bolts/screws (1-6).

  4. While holding the control valve body assembly, disconnect the manual shift detent lever assembly (710) from the manual valve link (336).
  5. Move the detent lever assembly clockwise for ease of removing the manual valve.
  6. Remove the control valve body assembly (39).

  7. Remove the 2 transaxle case fluid passage seals (86).
