Transmission Fluid Draining

Place a suitable fluid collection pan under the transmission assembly.
Remove the drain plug.
Remove the gasket (820) from the drain plug (819).
Drain the automatic transmission fluid into the collection pan.
Remove the collection pan and properly dispose of the transmission fluid.

Remove the vent hose assembly and retainer.

Remove the bolt (825) for the transmission level indicator.
Remove the transmission oil level indicator (823) and the O-ring (824).
