Installation Procedure

  1. Install the shift control linkage (2) to the vehicle.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the manual shift shaft nut (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Connect the shift control linkage rod (2) to the shift control assembly (1).
  4. Adjust the shift control linkage. Refer to Shift Control Linkage Adjustment .
  5. Install the front closeout panel. Refer to Floor Panel Tunnel Panel Front Closeout Panel Replacement .
  6. Lower the vehicle.
