Hazard Lamps Always On

Schematic Reference: Exterior Lights Schematics 
1 Did you review the Lighting System Description and Operation and perform the necessary inspections? Go to Step 2  Go to Symptoms - Lighting Systems 
2 Verify that the hazard lamps are always on.
Does the system operate normally?
Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 3 
3 Remove the hazard switch
Did the hazard lamps turn off?
Go to Step 4  Go to Step 5 
4 Replace the hazard switch. Refer to Hazard Warning Switch Replacement .
Is the replacement complete?
Go to Step 8  -
5 With the hazard switch and flasher relay removed. Check for continuity to ground between cavity 4 of the hazard switch and cavity 8 of the flasher relay. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
Is a ground present?
Go to Step 6  Go to Step 7 
6 Repair short to ground between cavity 4 of the hazard switch and cavity 8 of the flasher relay. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring
Did you complete the repair?
Go to Step 8  -
7 Replace the flasher relay. Refer to Hazard and Turn Signal Flasher Replacement 
Did you complete the replacement?
Go to Step 8  -
8 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK Go to Step 3
