Intake Manifold (Lower): Installation

  1. Clean gasket surfaces. Install gaskets. Position lower intake manifold on engine. Temporarily install and finger-tighten two M8 X 1.25 X 50 mm bolts into vertical bolt holes to keep manifold in place. Tighten these vertical bolts to 62 INCH lbs. (7 N.m). Before tightening any bolts or nuts, install all manifold bolts and insert rubber isolators fully into manifold flange.
  2. Draw manifold into place by tightening bolts gradually, starting with middle bolts and working in a circular pattern. Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Remove 2 vertical bolts. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Use NEW "O" rings in fuel system where applicable.
