Installation (Left & Right)

Remove oil from camshaft carrier-to-cylinder head bolt holes. Install gasket. Install Camshaft Hold-Down (J-38613). See Figure. Install camshaft carrier. Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Remove lifter retaining hoses and camshaft hold-down. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure and see TIMING BELT & CAMSHAFT TIMING PROCEDURE .
