Front Cover & Oil Seal: Installation

  1. Using Seal Aligner/Installer (J-35468), install NEW oil seal in timing cover. Coat timing cover gasket with sealant, and position onto timing cover. Install timing cover.
  2. Alternately tighten all bolts to specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Apply sealant to oil pan, cylinder block and timing cover joint. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
