Removal & Installation (Undeployed Air Bag)

Before proceeding, follow air bag service precautions. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Lower glove box door to access passenger-side air bag module mounting bolts.
Disconnect air bag module connector. Remove air bag module. To install, reverse removal procedure. Before connecting negative battery cable, check system operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .

NOTE: Instrument panel and pad are not reusable if passenger-side air bag has deployed. Components that are not damaged should be transferred from old instrument panel to new instrument panel.
