System Operation Check
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
Turn ignition on and observe SRS/AIR BAG warning light. SRS/AIR BAG warning light should come on for 6-8 seconds, then go out, indicating system is functioning properly. If SRS/AIR BAG warning light either fails to come on, blinks on and off, or comes on and stays on, a system malfunction exists. Repair as necessary.
