Removal & Installation (Except Sebring Convertible)

  1. Before proceeding, follow air bag service precautions. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  .
  2. On M/T models, remove shifter knob and boot. Remove center console retaining screws. Raise parking brake lever as high as necessary for required clearance, and remove center console. Remove ACM. Disconnect ACM connectors.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install and tighten ACM nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Before connecting negative battery cable, check system operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .
