Air Bag Control Module (ACM): Installation

1. Connect ACM connectors, and ensure all locking tabs are engaged. Install ACM with arrow pointing forward. Install and tighten ACM nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install parking brake lever mechanism, and securely tighten nuts.
2. Ensure parking brake lever is in full down position. Install rear parking brake cable into equalizer on parking brake lever output cable. Ensure parking brake cable is correctly aligned with cable track. Pull up parking brake output cable by hand until all tension is removed from drill bit and remove drill bit.
3. Slowly release parking brake cable until all slack is removed from cable. Connect brake warning light connector. Cycle parking brake lever once to position parking brake cables. Ensure rear wheels rotate freely without dragging when parking brake lever is released.
4. Raise parking brake lever, and install center console. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Before connecting negative battery cable, check system operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .
