Brake Warning Indicator Inoperative With Low Brake Fluid
NOTE:
After repairs, go to BRAKE WARNING SYSTEM CHECK
under SYSTEM TESTS.
- Turn ignition on. If BRAKE indicator is on, go to next step. If BRAKE warning indicator is not on, go to BRAKE WARNING INDICATOR INOPERATIVE DURING BULB CHECK .
- Disconnect brake fluid reservoir level switch connector. Connect 3-amp fused jumper between brake fluid reservoir level switch connector terminals. Turn ignition on. If BRAKE indicator is on, go to next step. If BRAKE warning indicator is not on, go to step 4 .
- Replace brake fluid reservoir level switch.
- Check for poor connection or open in Black wire between brake fluid reservoir level switch and ground. If faulty circuit is found, go to next step. If circuit is okay, go to step 6 .
- Repair poor connection or open in Black wire between brake fluid reservoir level switch and ground.
- Repair poor connection or open in Purple wire between brake fluid reservoir level switch and ground.
