Removal and Installation: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION:
  • Do not bend or twist control cable over 180 deg..
  • Do not twist control cable boot over 90 deg..
  • Do not cut control cable boot.
  1. Remove front wheel and tire assembly (RH) using power tools. Refer to Adjustment .
  2. Remove fender protector (RH). Refer to Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove instrument lower panel LH. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  4. Remove instrument center finisher (LH). Refer to Exploded View .
  5. Remove steering column covers. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  6. Remove control cable from A/T shift selector. Refer to Exploded View .
  7. Remove the lock plate from control cable bracket
  8. Remove control cable from the manual lever and control cable bracket.
  9. Remove control cable retainer clip (1) from accelerator pedal bracket (2).

  10. Remove control cable bolts on lower dash.
  11. Remove control cable from the vehicle engine compartment through the passenger side wheel well opening.
