Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Partially drain engine coolant from the radiator. Refer to Changing Engine Coolant .
    CAUTION:
    • Perform when engine is cold.
    • Do not spill coolant on the drive belt.
  2. Remove engine room cover. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove air cleaner and air duct assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  4. Remove battery tray and battery tray bracket. Refer to Removal and Installation (Battery Tray) .
  5. Disconnect radiator hose (upper) from radiator.
  6. Disconnect the harness connectors from the fan motor.
  7. Remove fan shroud and motor assembly.
