Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK SENSOR POWER SUPPLY 1
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect ECM harness connector.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check the voltage between ECM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
INSPECTION END
NO
GO TO 2.
- CHECK SENSOR POWER SUPPLY 1 CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect following sensor harness connector.
- Check harness for short to power and to ground, between the following terminals.

YES
GO TO 3.
NO
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
- CHECK COMPONENTS
Check the following.
- Accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor 1 (Refer to Component Inspection .)
- Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor (POS) (Refer to Component Inspection .)
- Exhaust valve timing (EVT) control position sensor [Refer to Component Inspection (Exhaust Valve Timing Control Position Sensor) .]
- Mass air flow (MAF) sensor (Refer to Component Inspection .)
- Throttle position (TP) sensor (Refer to Component Inspection .)
- Battery current sensor (Refer to Component Inspection .)
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
INSPECTION END
NO
Replace malfunctioning component.
