Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK ELECTRIC INTAKE VALVE TIMING CONTROL ACTUATOR (BANK 2) CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect electric intake valve timing control actuator (bank 2) harness connector and electric intake valve timing control module harness connector.
- Check the continuity between electric intake valve timing control actuator (bank 21) harness connector and electric intake valve timing control module harness connector.

- Also check harness for short to power and short to ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO 2.
NO
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
- CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Replace electric intake valve timing control actuator (bank 2). Refer to Exploded View .
NO
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
