Diagnosis Procedure

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect heated oxygen sensor 2 harness connector.
3. Turn ignition switch ON.
4. Check the voltage between heated oxygen sensor 2 harness connector and ground.

   +			-	Voltage
   Heated oxygen sensor 2
   Bank	Connector	Terminal
   1	F71 *1 F82 *2	1	Ground	Battery voltage

   *1 : With black connector

   *2 : With gray connector

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 2.

NO

GO TO 4.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect ECM harness connector.
3. Check the continuity between heated oxygen sensor 2 harness connector and ECM harness connector.

   Heated oxygen sensor 2			ECM		Continuity
   Bank	Connector	Terminal	Connector	Terminal
   1	F71 *1 F82 *2	2	F79	166	Existed

   *1 : With black connector

   *2 : With gray connector

4. Also check harness for short to power and short to ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 3.

NO

Repair open circuit, short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.

Check heated oxygen sensor 2 heater. Refer to Component Inspection (Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 Heater) .

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

INSPECTION END.

NO

Replace malfunctioning heated oxygen sensor 2. Refer to Exploded View .

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect IPDM E/R harness connector.
3. Check the continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and heated oxygen sensor 2 harness connector.

   *1 : With black connector

   *2 : With gray connector

4. Also check harness for short to ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Perform the trouble diagnosis for power supply circuit.

NO

Repair or replace error-detected parts.
