Removal and Installation - Steering Gear: Installation

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION: Do not reuse copper sealing washers.

Align the mark (A) from the pitman arm (1) to the steering gear sector shaft (2).

Tighten the fasteners to specification. Refer to Exploded View - Steering Gear .
Tighten the LH front wheel and tire assembly to specification. Refer to Adjustment .
After installation, fill the hydraulic system with fluid and bleed air. Refer to Refilling and Air Bleeding Hydraulic System .
