Removal and Installation (Exhaust Manifold): Removal

  1. Remove the front wheels and tires using power tool. Refer to Adjustment .
  2. Remove mudguard and front fender protector. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the front exhaust tube (RH only). Refer to Exploded View .
  4. Disconnect the harness connector from the air fuel ratio sensor 1.
  5. Remove cowl lower heat shield (RH only).
  6. Remove oil level gauge.
  7. Remove transmission oil level gauge and tube.
  8. Remove the three way catalyst nuts and remove the three way catalyst.
  9. Remove exhaust manifold heat shield (LH only)
  10. Reposition the exhaust manifold heat shield (RH only).
  11. Remove the exhaust manifold nuts in the reverse order shown.

    SYMBOL : Front

    CAUTION: Discard the exhaust manifold nuts, do not reuse.
    NOTE: Disregard the numerical order No. 7 and 8 in removal.

  12. Remove the exhaust manifolds.
    CAUTION: Cover engine openings to avoid entry of foreign materials.
