Front Differential Gear Oil: Refilling

  1. Remove filler plug (1) and gasket. Then fill with new gear oil until oil level (A) reaches the specified level near filler plug mounting hole.

    CAUTION: Do not overfill front final drive.

    Oil grade and viscosity

    : Refer to Cummins 5.0L Engine : Fluids and Lubricants or VK56VD Gasoline Engine : Fluids and Lubricants .

    Standard Oil capacity

    : Refer to General Specification .
  2. Install a gasket on filler plug, and install it to final drive assembly.
    CAUTION: Do not reuse gasket.
  3. Tighten filler plug to the specified torque. Refer to Exploded View .
