Removal and Installation: Removal

- Disconnect negative and positive battery terminals, then wait at least three minutes. Refer to Battery Disconnect .
- Remove center console assembly. Refer Removal and Installation .
- Remove glove box assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove steering wheel. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove instrument panel side finishers (LH/RH) (1) using a suitable tool.

- Remove cluster lid A. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove AV control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove instrument lower panel LH. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove steering column covers. Refer to Removal and Installation - Electric steering column without paddle shifter (Electric steering column without paddle shifter), Removal and Installation - Mechanical steering column with paddle shifter (Mechanical steering column with paddle shifter), or Removal and Installation - Mechanical steering column without paddle shifter (Mechanical steering column without paddle shifter).
- Remove combination meter. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove front pillar finishers (LH/RH). Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove tweeter speaker grille (RH). Refer to Exploded View .
- Remove front passenger air bag module bolts.
- Remove instrument panel screws (A).
- Disconnect harness connectors from instrument panel assembly and front passenger air bag module.
- Remove instrument panel assembly.
CAUTION:
Do not reuse the front passenger air bag module bolts.
