Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK FOR CURRENT DTC
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Connect CONSULT and check for other "ENGINE" diagnostic trouble codes.
Is P24DA - 00 DTC detected as current or past?

YES

GO TO 2.

NO

Refer to Intermittent Incident .
CHECK FOR PRIORITY DTC
1. Using CONSULT, check for other "ENGINE" diagnostic trouble codes.
2. Check If any of the following DTCs are "current" or "past":
  - U04A4 - 00
  - U12A3 - 00
  - P24AE-00
  - P24D0 - 00
Is any applicable DTC detected?

YES
- An internal error has been detected in the after treatment particulate matter sensor. Replace the after treatment particulate matter sensor. Refer to Exploded View .
- Perform diagnosis of applicable DTC. Refer to DTC Index .
NO

GO TO 3.
CHECK PM SENSOR
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Inspect after treatment particulate matter sensor.
  - Check that sensor is installed properly and not missing.
  - Inspect sensor tip for damage.
PM sensor is properly installed and undamaged?

YES

GO TO 4.

NO
- A missing or damaged after treatment particulate matter sensor has been detected. Replace the after treatment particulate matter sensor. Refer to Exploded View .
- GO TO 4.
ERASE CURRENT DTC
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Using CONSULT, erase "ENGINE" diagnostic trouble codes.
3. Operate the engine within the "Conditions for setting the DTC".
4. Using CONSULT, check for "ENGINE" diagnostic trouble codes.
Is P24DA - 00 DTC current?

YES

Return to Diagnosis Procedure. Refer to DTC Description .

NO

Repair complete.
