Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK FOR RELATED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Connect CONSULT and check for the following current or past "ENGINE" diagnostic trouble codes:
- U12A3-00
- P24AE-00
Are any of the above DTCs current or past?
YES
Refer to DTC Index .
NO
.
- CHECK DTC PRIORITY
Check for DTC P24AF-00 being current or past on the CONSULT screen.
Is applicable DTC detected as current or past?
YES
- An internal error has been detected in the after treatment particulate matter sensor. Replace the after treatment particulate matter sensor. Refer to Exploded View .
- GO TO 3.
NO
GO TO 3 .
- ERASE CURRENT DTC
- Using CONSULT, erase "ENGINE" diagnostic trouble codes.
- Operate the engine within the "Conditions for setting the DTC".
- Using CONSULT, check for "ENGINE" diagnostic trouble codes.
Is P24AF-00 DTC detected?
YES
Return to Diagnosis Procedure. Refer to DTC Description .
NO
Repair complete.
