Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC PRIORITY 
    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Connect CONSULT and check for "ENGINE" diagnostic trouble codes.
    3. Check for DTC U12A3-00 being current on the CONSULT screen.

    Is DTC U12A3-00 detected as current or past?

    YES

    Refer to DTC U12A3 .

    NO

    Go to 2.

  2. CHECK DTC PRIORITY 

    Check for DTC U04A4-00 being current or past on the CONSULT screen.

    Is DTC U04A4-00 detected as current or past?

    YES

    An internal error has been detected in the after treatment particulate matter sensor. Replace PM sensor. Refer to Exploded View .

    NO

    Go to 3.

  3. CHECK DTC PRIORITY 
    1. Connect all components.
    2. Using CONSULT, erase ENGINE diagnostic trouble codes.
    3. Operate the vehicle according to the DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE.

    DTC U04A4-00 current?

    YES

    Return to Diagnosis Procedure. Refer to DTC Description .

    NO

    Repair End.
