CHECK THE DEF LINE HEATER RESISTANCE
Measure the resistance between the DEF line heater pins at the DEF line heater.

Is the resistance between 4 and 10 ohms?

YES

GO TO 2 .

NO

Replace the DEF line heater. Refer to Exploded View .
CHECK DEF LINE HEATER FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
Measure the resistance between the DEF line heater power supply (pin 1) and the metal case of the DEF line heater.

Is the resistance above 100 KΩ

YES

Inspection End.

NO

Replace the DEF line heater. Refer to Exploded View .
