Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK CONNECTOR
Check the metal deposition, damage, and corrosion of connectors (F216 and E73 and E74).

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 2 .

NO

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
PERFORM DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURES
Perform each diagnosis procedure.
- P0773 (Refer to Diagnosis Procedure .)
- P0998 (Refer to Diagnosis Procedure .)
- P0999 (Refer to Diagnosis Procedure .)
Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 3 .

NO

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK CIRCUIT BETWEEN OIL PRESSURE SWITCH AND TCM

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect TCM connector and A/T assembly connector.
Check continuity between TCM harness connector terminals and ground.

Check continuity between TCM harness connector terminals and ground.

TCM		-	Continuity
Connector	Terminal
E74	11	Ground	Not existed

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 4 .

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK CIRCUIT BETWEEN OIL PRESSURE SWITCH AND ANOTHER CIRCUIT

Check continuity between TCM harness connector terminals.

TCM			Continuity
Connector	Terminal
E74	11	Other than the 11	Not existed

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 5 .

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK CIRCUIT BETWEEN OIL PRESSURE SWITCH AND TCM

Check continuity between TCM harness connector terminals and A/T assembly harness connector terminals.

E74	11	Other than the 11	Not existed

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace the transmission assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation (2WD), Removal and Installation (4WD).

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
