Removal and Installation: Removal

- Loosen adjusting nut.NOTE: It is not necessary to remove parking brake front cable.
- Remove spring (3) from equalizer (1).
- Pull equalizer (1) on parking brake front cable (2) and separate parking brake rear cable [LH/RH (4)] from parking brake front cable.CAUTION: To prevent damage to parts, do not bend parking brake cables.
- Separate parking brake rear cable from toggle lever. Refer to Exploded View .
- Remove nuts and bolts from rear parking brake cable.
- Remove parking brake rear cable.
