Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Remove parking brake control. Refer to Removal and Installation .
    NOTE: It is not necessary to remove parking brake switch.
  2. Remove front seat RH. Refer to Removal and Installation - Captain Seats .
  3. Remove center console (if equipped). Refer to Removal and Installation .
  4. Remove center seat (if equipped). Refer to Removal and Installation - Center Seat .
  5. Place front floor trim (RH) aside. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  6. Remove bolts from parking brake front cable. Refer to Exploded View .
  7. Remove Around View Monitor control unit (if equipped). Refer to Removal and Installation .
  8. Remove spring (3) from equalizer (1).

  9. Pull equalizer (1) on parking brake front cable (2) and separate parking brake rear cable [LH/RH (4)] from parking brake front cable.
    CAUTION: To prevent damage to parts, do not bend parking brake cables.
  10. Remove parking brake front cable.
