Removal and Installation: Removal

- Remove the wheel and tire using power tool. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- For Non-XD Models remove the front fender protector. Refer to Removal and Installation - Front Fender Protector .
- Support the lower link using a suitable jack.WARNING: Place a suitable jack under the lower link.CAUTION: Do not damage the lower link with the suitable jack.
- Remove the nut and remove the brake hose block from the steering knuckle. Refer to Exploded View .
- Remove the cotter pin and the nut from the upper link ball joint.CAUTION: Do not reuse the cotter pin.
- Separate the upper link ball joint stud from the steering knuckle using suitable tool.
- Remove the upper link bolts and nuts. Remove the upper link.CAUTION: Do not reuse the upper link nuts.
