WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Nissan Titan XD. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING:
When using compressed air for cleaning, to avoid the risk of personal injury from flying debris and dirt:
- Do not exceed 207 kPa (2.111 kg/cm 2 , 30 psi).
- Wear appropriate eye protection and protective clothing including gloves.
- Disconnect the battery or batteries. Refer to Battery Disconnect .
- Partially drain the engine coolant. Refer to Changing Engine Coolant
.WARNING: To avoid the risk of personal injury, do not remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Serious burns could occur from high-pressure engine coolant escaping from the radiator. Wrap a thick cloth around the cap. Slowly turn it a quarter of a turn to release built-up pressure. Carefully remove the radiator cap by turning it all the way.
- Remove the heat shield (RH). Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove the coolant reservoir. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove the air outlet hose. Refer to Exploded View .NOTE: Brush away all loose dirt from the around the area of the air handling connections to avoid contamination of the interior of the engine.
- Remove the bolts (A) that connect the exhaust transfer tube (RH) to the EGR valve (1).CAUTION: Do not reuse the gasket.
