Removal and Installation: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Nissan Titan XD and 2018 Nissan Titan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect battery or batteries, then wait at least three minutes. Refer to Battery Disconnect .
  2. Partially remove door welt (LH/RH).
  3. Remove front pillar finisher (LH/RH). Refer to Removal and Installation .
  4. Remove glove box assembly and housing. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  5. Disconnect wiring harness (A).

  6. Release wiring harness clips using suitable tool.
  7. Remove rear pillar upper finisher [LH/RH (with rear seat)]. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  8. Remove rear pillar finisher [LH/RH (without rear seat)]. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  9. Remove sun visor assembly (LH/RH) screws, then disconnect harness connector (if equipped) from sun visor assembly (LH/RH).
  10. Remove sun visor assembly (LH/RH).
  11. Remove sun visor holder (LH/RH) with the following procedure:

    1. Insert suitable tool (A) at approximately a 30-degree angle into the sun visor holder notch on the front of the sun visor holder (1) and press in locking tab (B) to release it. While holding in locking tab (B), turn sun visor holder (1) 90 degrees to release it from headlining.
      • If the sun visor holder (1) does not fully rotate, make sure that suitable tool (A) is pressing in on locking tab (B) and is not positioned under locking tab (B). Reinsert suitable tool (A) as necessary to release locking tab (B).
      CAUTION: Do not force the sun visor holder when removing, the locking tab may be damaged if suitable tool is not positioned correctly.
  12. Remove rain sensor cover (if equipped).
  13. Disconnect harness connector from rain sensor (if equipped).
  14. Disconnect harness connector from inside mirror (with automatic anti-dazzling).
  15. Remove front roof console (if equipped). Refer to Exploded View .
  16. Remove assist grip [with coat hanger (LH/RH)].
  17. Remove assist grip (without coat hanger).
  18. Remove rear upper door striker cover (LH/RH).
  19. Release clips using suitable tool, then remove headliner.
    CAUTION: Do not bend or twist headlining when removing.
  20. Remove microphone [if necessary (if equipped)].
  21. Remove map lamp assembly [if necessary (if equipped)].
  22. Remove personal lamp assembly (if necessary). Refer to Removal and Installation .
