Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Discharge the refrigerant. Refer to Recycle Refrigerant .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the front under cover. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  4. Remove the fender protector side cover (RH). Refer to Removal and Installation .
  5. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  6. Remove the drive belt auto-tensioner. Refer to Removal and Installation of Drive Belt Auto-tensioner .
  7. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector, then position the wiring harness aside.
  8. Disconnect the A/C high side line from the compressor.
    CAUTION: Cap or wrap the joint of the A/C pipes with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.
  9. Disconnect the A/C low side line from the compressor.
    CAUTION: Cap or wrap the joint of the A/C pipes with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.
  10. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the compressor.
  11. Remove the 2 oil cooler line bracket bolts and position the bracket aside.
  12. Remove the compressor bolts and the compressor.
