EGR VALVE : Removal & Installation: Removal

  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  2. Remove bolt securing vacuum pipe and reposition vacuum pipe.
  3. Remove bolt and reposition the water pipe. Refer to WATER OUTLET : Exploded View .
  4. Remove the EGR outlet tube.
    CAUTION: Do not reuse EGR outlet tube gasket and EGR volume control valve gasket.
  5. Disconnect the harness connector from the EGR volume control valve.
  6. Remove the EGR volume control valve.
    CAUTION: Do not reuse EGR volume control valve gasket.
  7. Remove the studs (if necessary).
